Open Letter to Voice of the Hawkeyes Magazine Subscribers Announcing New Format

Dear Voice of the Hawkeyes Subscribers,

A lot has changed at the University of Iowa since Voice of the Hawkeyes first began publishing over 28 years ago. Legendary coaches like Haysen Frye and Dan Gable have come and gone and a whole new crop of outstanding leaders like Kirk Ferentz, Lisa Bluder and Tom Brands have taken their places.

Just as there have been many changes with the Hawkeyes, Voice of the Hawkeyes magazine, which has been there for our loyal subscribers over the last 28 years, has undergone its own dramatic changes. Voice of the Hawkeyes has evolved through the decades adding digital editions of our magazine and the ever popular VoiceoftheHawkeyes.com. But that is nothing compared to what is in store.

Starting in August, we will offer our readers a better product, delivered in a more efficient manner and, best of all, more frequently with more University of Iowa athletics coverage than ever before, exclusively for our subscribers!

Changes to the Voice of the Hawkeyes magazine

We will continue to publish and mail a printed magazine, but with substantial changes. The new Voice of the Hawkeyes magazine, which debuts in August, will convert to a brilliant full-color, glossy magazine very similar in makeup to Sports Illustrated ®. The glossy Voice of the Hawkeyes magazine will be published 12 times a year with information that is far less time sensitive, allowing us to focus more on in-depth features, analysis and commentary. By doing this, we can provide you with a magazine that is not out of date when it arrives in your mailbox.

Introducing Voice of the Hawkeyes Express

In addition to the glossy magazine, beginning this fall, we will also provide you with a new full-color, reader-friendly digital magazine available exclusively to our subscribers over the Internet. During football season, Voice of the Hawkeyes Express will preview Iowa's next game with stats, analysis and the all-important coach's comments from the Tuesday press conference. Voice of the Hawkeyes Express will continue throughout the year with the latest updates on basketball, wrestling, spring football and recruiting. Voice of the Hawkeyes subscribers will be notified via email when the latest Voice of the Hawkeyes Express is ready. So do not forget to provide us with your email address! You can register for Voice of the Hawkeyes Express at: Register for e-Edition/Express

Our improvements to the Voice of the Hawkeyes print magazine and our new digital magazine provide the best of both worlds. Voice of the Hawkeyes subscribers get a vastly improved glossy print magazine and an up-to-the-minute digital magazine for more Iowa sports coverage than ever before ... and all for the same low price of $49.95.
